Gunplay called in to 105.1′s “The Breakfast Club” to speak about his fight with 50 Cent’s bodyguards at the BET Awards. He claimed “The Donkey’s” jumped him and it wasn’t an artist from the G-Unit circle. He then fought off his attackers before being pepper sprayed by a plain clothes officer. Meanwhile, Rick Ross got into a fight with Young Jeezy elsewhere at the hip-hop award show. When asked if there is a green light when 50 Cent or Jeezy come to MIami, Gunplay simpley stated, “No comment”. You can listen to his first hand account after the jump.

Rick Ross parties with Nigeria.
Rick Ross and Nigeria went absolutely H.A.M. in this video remix of “Hold Me Back”. Watch as Rick Ross takes a trip through the war wounded sections of Nigeria as everyone comes out to party. If you thought New Orleans looked run down in the original video, you should really take a look at Nigeria. There ain’t nothing but slums and people living in tents. Thank you Rick Ross for being socially conscious and shedding some light on their situation. Gotta say, it’s like Ghandi came through Africa when Rick Ross rolled through in his Escalade. Absolutely crazy.

The first song up on today’s hip-hop update is Busta Rhymes feat. Rick Ross and Trey Songz. Busta goes off on “Til We Die” as he lays out two crazy verses. Rick Ross does his thing as usual in the middle and Trey Songz ties the song together with some attitude on the chorus. This song is off Busta’s “Year of the Dreagon”, which is a free release and the first off YMCMB.
The next up is a release from Frank Ocean featuring the steady rising Kendrick Lamar. Great collaboration and Ocean really steals the show on this one although Kendrick holds it down as well. After that is probably the dopest collab out of these. Slaughterhouse ft Eminem + Skylar Grey in “Our House”. If this isn’t the most lyrical group and song out, I don’t know what is. Oh yea, did you see the Eminem feature? After hearing this verse, I can only imagine what is going to be on his next album. It’s gonna be some “ridiculous shit” as that Russian or fake Russian dude says on those Youtube videos with the guns…? Anyone?
Coming up to bat next is The RZA ft Boy Jones (ODB’s son). Slight resemblance to his father, but definitely different. Always nice to hear RZA breathe somethin on a track.
Anyway, to round it out, we lastly have the biggest (as in numbers) collab of the day in “Celebration” by The Game feat. Chris Brown, Wiz Khalifa, Lil Wayne, Wiz Khalifa & Tyga. You already know with that song. Doesn’t dissapoint. Listen to everything after the jump.

Here’s a great collaboration that came out yesterday. Mariah Carey grabs MMG rappers Rick Ross + Meek Mill for her song Triumphant. The trio actually works extremely well together as they battle their demons in the metaphor of a boxing match. They all are decked out in furs and expensive clothing as they sing about their demons and struggle. Meek Mill actually plays the boxer in this video, physically beating up his competition.

There aint much to say about Rick Ross. He works hard, puts out quality product and is just straight up killin it. In this video for “Amsterdam, off “God Forgives, I Don’t”, Rozay takes us inside the gates of his tropical paradise. Needless to say, he is living like a king + a boss. This is just some straight up, classic music. Classic video. Tyga + Omarion make brief cameos as well. Ups to Rozay and Mmmmaybach Music.

Rozay drops a visual for his massive and classic collaboration with Jay-Z and Dr. Dre. Just a bunch of cool clips that sync up with what each rapper is saying in his verse. Pretty cool. I hope we get a real video for this song soon. OH, go listen to God Forgives, I Don’t immediately. That is all. Video below.

Here is the official visual for Rick Ross’s song “Hold Me Back”. Unfortunately you wont be able to see this on BET anytime soon, as they announced last week they were banning it. Not sure if it was banned on other stations such as MTV, FUSE, etc…Seems quite odd since the video highlights the poverty stricken New Orleans, which in turn raises awareness about how diminished the area is, which is what I think Rick Ross’s whole point was.
The visuals themselves do not portray an X rated content, so I guess BET thought the language was too much? You would think BET would promote a video like this which denounces haters, raises awareness about poverty and showcases what hard work and hustle can do. Guess BET is trying to distance themselves from a certain “hardcore” image into a more “friendly” image. BUT, who really cares about politics when the internet has everything from Rick Ross singing songs to Rick Ross eating cheeseburgers to Rick Ross smoking on a boat. So, fuck em. Enjoy the video after the jump.
