Tsu Surf, who has won numerous battles in the URL, teams up with fellow Jersey native Joe Budden for his track “Loaded Gun”. This will be off Tsu Surf’s mixtape, which he is dropping tomorrow. The song was produced by Mike Zombie, who recently produced Drake’s “Started From The Bottom.”
Lil Chuckee got “Hard Work” & “No Play” tattooed on his inncer bicep and Flow has a “Fuck U Pay Me” & “Sik Fuck” tattooed on his hands. As pointed out by YMHQ, Wayne has the same “Sik Fuck” tattoo on his chest.
Chuckee was also in the news recently over his new single “Don’t Kill My High”, which is a remix to Kendrick Lamars “Bitch Don’t Kill My Vibe”. It will be off of his new mixtape “Lebron Of My Time”. You can stream the track and view the pictures of their tattoos after the jump. You can also check out Chuckees interview with Runnin With It here.
Divine Carama releases a very special Nas dedicated free LP called “It Was Rewritten”. Artists such as Thee Tom Hardy, Vito Banga of Nappy Roots, 88 Key’s signed Nemo Achida, legendary battle MC Canibus, & underground hip hop group CunningLynguists all helped out on the project. The project was also produced by 2 Mello.
The first video off of the project, directed by 2 Mello, is for his song “Suspect”. In the song he talks about how the school system is unjust, how many historical aspects are overlooked and how corrupt and back-thinking our country truly is. Very honest video.
According to Carama:
We really wanted to go for an early-mid 90′s feels on this one. The mixtape was inspired by a mid 90′s LP so we felt it was only right to have that essence.. Also, so much of just one type of theme is going on right now in hip hop.. Everything is big, expensive, negative, degrading, numb…… We just wanted to throw something out there that the opposite to a lot that’s going on right now. Do our part in balancing things out.
Watch the video after the jump. You can listen to all of Divine’s music on his Bandcamp page. Download/stream “It Was Rewritten” here.
After releasing “Colombia” on his mixtape, Street Lottery, Young Scooter enlists rap heavyweights (no pun intended) Rick Ross, Birdman & Gucci Mane for the official remix to this drug induced anthem.
In the song Ross addresses his shooting saying:
Chickens like the wing stop/n*ggas tried to kill me, but I had the thing cocked/ they think I know the voodoo, how they keep showing all my ghosts on channel 2.
Problem & IAMSU! link up to shoot a visual for their track Gas. This is offtheir collaborative mixtape Million Dollar Afro. The video was directed by stfUP! Media and is straight to the point. Don’t expect anything flashy, just straight up barssss. Watch after the jump.
I recently had the pleasure of speaking with STORi, who is signed to Next Day Ent and Universal Motown . She is currently hard at work in the studio and had some time to answer some questions about her career and where she is going.
She recently did a collaboration with 50 Cent called “The Crown”, which has been featured on every major website this side of the internet..which I guess is every side. She can sing, rap and most probably can dance her butt off.
She has an original look and personality and definitely comes at you from every direction. Check out the interview and some music after the jump!
Lil Fame Feat. Termanology- Fizzyology (Prod by The Alchemist)
Check out this sick new track, “Fizzyology”, from Lil Fame Feat. Termanology produced by The Alchemist. This is off Lil Fame and Termanologys’ joint album of the same name as this track. Termanology spits first and this kid is on another level. I’m not sure there are many MC’s with the vocabulary, flow and energy that this kid has got. The first verse is a rapid fire, mind boggling rhyme frenzy as he absolutely shuts it down. An MC somewhere just pissed themselves. After that, Lil Fame keeps it G and holds down this dope track. Oh yea, did I mention this was produced by The Alchemist? Oh I did…so why aren’t you listenin already? Track after the jump. Follow these awesome people-
Check out this new song from T-Pain called “Don’t You Quit”. It is off his upcoming project called “Stoic”. Classic T-Pain. Check out the song after the jump.
To say Joe Budden has a short fuse would be a compliment. He has no fuse. He just goes from 0-100 in one second. That’s what happened in this interview when Eleven8 from Baller Alert asked good ol’ Joey about the recent complaints from fans that Welcome to Our House is too commercial, but enjoyed the mixtape. He turned it into some metaphor about having two toilets at home and not giving two shits. He also told fans to make a “collage” of the songs they like from the mixtape and album in order to create their own album. I guess it was only a matter of time before we got this type of reaction from Joe Budden, because I feel like the group is asked this same question day in and day out. That could get kind of annoying. Interview after the jump.
