Check out this new video from recording artist Kepstar. This song is called “The Party. The video presents a bit of dichotomy as he Kepstar parties it up with all his friends, but talks about how this life doesn’t affect him positively anymore. In other words, this one house party doesn’t define success and “making it”.

Here’s the latest video from up and coming rapper, Kepstar. He goes in on Big K.R.I.T.’s smooth instrumental “Somedayz” and spits the truth. He talks about the grind, how blessed he is to be alive, just being a kid tryin to make it and some other inspirational topics. Definitely give it a listen. Nice editing job as well with the video. Kepstar is an aspiring artist from New York. Already a veteran in the mixtape game, Kepstar recently dropped his latest piece of work, Shades of Grey. According to Kepstar himself, this is his best work to date and his music definitely backs up that statement. With great production, beats, lyrics and features, it really is a well rounded album. Two very special features include one from the legendary Joe Budden and the hot spittin rapper, Termanology. There is also a phenomenal track by the name of Goodbye Yesterday, where Kepstar talks about his struggles over a nicely sampled version of the Dave Matthews’ track, Crash Into Me. This artist has a ton of talent and is sure to be gracing the cover of XXL soon enough. Keep reading for the interview and some music. If you would like to listen to Keptars mixtape, no need to click on any links, full mixtape after the jump. Enjoy!

You gotta check out this dope artist from Queens, New York. He goes by the name Kepstar and he is one of the freshest talents in the music industry today. He’s still grindin hard in the underground world, but is slowly starting to turn heads further up the ladder. Joe Budden has already recognized Kepstar’s talents and is featured on the song “1 Up”. In a similar approach to Nas, Kepstar takes us into the streets, yet provides us with some very insightful lyrics about life and living in NYC.
