Another single off of Slaughterhouse’s upcoming album “Welcome to Our House”. The beat was produced by Mr. Alicia Keys…sorry…Swizz Beatz. He also does his usual MC schtick. Nothin like a Swizz Beat chorus. Slaughterhouse delivers as usual, although this song definitely goes in a different direction than the rest of their more “street” tracks. Still good though. I’m sure you’ll hear it everywhere soon enough.
Here’s some great behind the scenes footage from David Guetta’s latest video I Can Only Imagine. Lil Wayne and Chris Brown are also featured in this song and you can check out both of them filming their parts. Naturally Lil Wayne has a skateboard theme goin on and Chris Brown is on his futuristic shit as is the rest of the video. Should be a good visual and is directed by Colin Tilley. If the song sounds familiar, it’s cuz they performed it live at the Grammy’s during the monster set that also featured the Foo Fighters and the Deadmou5.
You gotta download this mixtape from artist Quest…well at least give it a listen first. This dude is straight up raw and possesses a sick flow. He spits fast and straight to the point to deliver his message about not having fear and being a strong individual. He speaks on a lot of good ideas and preaches a very positive message about succeeding in life. It definitely don’t come easy. So, if you’re feelin down, give this tape a listen and know you ain’t the only one strugglin out there. Just remember, there’s always a way out and YOU GOTTA STAY POSITIVE!! Also, some crazy beatz on here…some dubstep/hip-hop vibe goin on. Real interesting stuff.
He may remind you initially of Kendrick Lamar, but don’t think of it that way…they just two dudes with similar styles…mainly BEING GOOD RAPPERS…completely different perspectives on life and music. Be sure to listen. Interview coming soon…stream/download the mixtape after the jump. Peep his video for Something To Prove &Gambler.
I recently got the chance to sit down and chat with up and coming rapper K-Deez. He was born and raised in Southern California and is now on his way to becoming a household name around the country. He recently dropped his latest album, 22 Summers, to great reviews and has been touring non-stop to promote his music and ideas. K-Deez has also been featured on 106 & Park, performing his smash hit, Feel Inside. He has also appeared at SXSW and has opened for the likes of Kid Ink, Big Sean and many more. Definitely give his album a listen, you won’t be disappointed. It is very well rounded and I’m sure you’ll be finding yourself listening to it multiple times. He’s got a natural talent when it comes to lending tracks his smart and witty rhymes and this album is just the beginning. Expect a lot more from K-Deez and be sure to keep ya heads up for his next project coming in October. Enjoy the interview after the jump!

Prodigy dropped two new huge tracks today. The first one is called Co-Pilot and features the weeds favorite Wiz Roll Me In A Leafa…sorry Khalifa. The next track features da boss from downsouth, T.I. The track is called What’s Happening (not to be confused with T.I.’s song of the same name). Both songs will be on Prodigy’s upcoming album H.N.I.C. 3.

The song also features a slick verse from Kendrick Lamar. Be sure to check out this epic 10 minute video log/music video which features a ton of footage of MMG over the past year at the NBA Finals, their release party and just livin like bosses. Ugghh.
One of the best new lyricists I’ve heard in a while…sorry rapper. Sometimes one doesn’t go with the other. This time both apply. Check out the first video in the webs series Evolution of DEWeezy. We get some cool access behind the scenes as Weezy and his skater friends team up to support Trukfit and the DEWeezy movement. There’s a cool interview from P.Rod and some footage of Weezy’s new friends skating around town, filming the commercial you currently see on t.v. They also get special access at Weezy’s concert and jump on stage to greet the rapper…who is conveniently drinking a Mountain Dew. I know this is all a blatent marketing ploy and for some reason Mountain Dew is trying to brainwash me, but still worth a watch.
Here’s a good article from Giant Freakin Robot about the highly anticipated Avatar sequels. According to Sigourney Weaver, who was in NYC to promote her new show Political Animals, she confirmed that there will be 3 more Avatar movies…all shot concurrently. Keep reading for the full the article. You can also check out an interview with James Cameron where he talks about the concepts for the next three films.
On a side note, this interview with Cameron was shot before The Avengers came out and the news castor predicts that The Avengers is going to be a flop…1 billion dollars later…oops.
T.I. dropped a new single today called Go Get It. No word if it’s a left over from the album or on the album…but does it really matter when it comes to T.I.? Gonna be good either way…so stoppin askin questions and just listen.
Here’s the long awaited single off Iggy Azalea’s upcoming EP- Glory. The song features T.I. on the hook and B.O.B. adds in a nice verse as well. Good song. Definitely something a little different from Grand Hustle.

Here is a visual for Rick Ross’s song So Sophisticated featuring Meek Mill. As usual Da Boss holds it down and does his thing. Meek Mill also fires away on this track. Reminds me a little of I’ma Boss, but with some different swag added in…maybe cheeseburger swag? Anyways, MMG has been releasing some of the best music as of late and Rick Ross’s upcoming album God Forgives, I Don’t is gonna be absolute fire. July 31. Buy it or don’t be a boss. Uggh. After the jump you can check out some BTS from Rozay’s Reebok commercial.
Here is the latest Deadmou5 production. The song is called The Veldt and features guest vocals from Chris James. They must have been inspired by the Lion King and games on smart phones when they were coming up with their idea for the video. It seriously looks like a game you can play on your android. Good song though and I’m gonna guess that the message of this song is don’t destroy what we create. You know, don’t kill LIFE and those sorts of things. Enjoy!
Yesterday, Nicki Minaj began her UK tour by opening up in London at the Hammersmith Apollo. This marks the first time she has been the headlining act in London and she most definitely did not disappoint. She performed a slew of her songs including Moment 4 Life, Did It On Em and of course her most recent smash hit, Starships. You can watch below as she performs Starships at Radio 1′s Hackney Weekend. After the jump you can check out her full performance from Sunday evening.
I recently had the chance to interview the beautiful Ms.Shanell of Young Money. We got to speak about a bunch of topics such as her upcoming mixtape Nobody’s Bitch, the recording process behind it, what type of songs we can expect on the tape, the “My Button” music video, how the collaboration with Lil Wayne and Drake for “So Good” came about, the visual for “So Good“, and plenty more!
R.A. Dickey is on a tear! As oxy-moronic as that may sound, he actually is on quite a tear, never breakin 80 mph though. With “The Thing” at his disposal, R.A. Dickey is pitching himself into some unknown territory. “The Thing”, a hybrid knuckle-screwball, is taking baseball (well mostly the hitters) by storm. Dickey is coming off back to back 1 hitters, a feat matched by few, just one person actually 24 years ago. Now, on Sunday (against the Yankees nonetheless), Dickey is going for an unprecedented third straight one hitter. He will be up against C.C. Sabathia, who has a $100 million contract, but not two consecutive 1 hitters. Hey, we take the wins any we can here at Flushing. Not to mention, don’t breathe now, but the Mets are in playoff contention. We’ll see where we are in early August before we start getting our hopes up, but for now, Dickey is the hottest pitcher in baseball. He keeps this up, it’s gonna be hard not to give him the Cy Young this year. Full article from ESPN after the jump.
Here’s a really amazing song from Thurz ft BJ The Chicago Kid. It’s a smooth, R & B, soul track. BJ’s vocals on the hook compliment the soft, vibrant track and Thurz is makin a case for a modern day Slick Rick. He’s got that smooth, laid back flow and this song really captures the essence of love and life, all aspects of it, the good and bad. Give it a listen and follow @Thurzday.
If you’re a New York Giants fan, you probably remember the story from about a week ago, when a little boy for New Jersey sent former NYG running back Brandon Jacobs, $3.36 from his personal piggy bank. Jacobs, the boys favorite player, was so upset that the bruising running back left New York to go to San Francisco for more money, he thought he could persuade Jacobs to return by giving Jacob’s his life savings of $3.36. It was an adorable gesture from the little boy (his mother sent the letter to Jacobs) and Jacobs recently returned the favor by taking the boy and his own son out on the town. Well, they didn’t hit up any nightclubs, instead they hit up Chuckee Cheese and had a ball. Jacobs also repaid the boy with a new, crisp $5 bill…and a signed helmet. I’m pretty sure this kid will never forget this day. Keep reading for the full story.
Below you can watch as MMG celebrate their upcoming release of Self Made Vol. II. There’s money, strippers, booty…Drake stops by as does French Montana, DJ Khaled and Busta Rhymes. Looked like a great night out in NYC. Can’t wait for the mixtape to drop. Uggg.
Here is the CDQ’d version of Lil Wayne’s Pusha T diss, Ghoulish. Lil Wayne released this about a month ago after Pusha T sent subliminal disses towards YMCMB with Exodus 23:1. Seemed like a stupid beef to begin with and Wayne said “It was just my human reaction to the situation. I reacted…there is no beef. Beef is somethin different.” So there you have it. Glad we have all come full circle. Although I find it funny Wayne said it was “his human reaction” when his next album is called I Am NOT A Human Being.
